Zachary Daniel Ayres, 24, of Des Moines was charged with possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating without registration, failure to have a valid driver’s license and financial liability coverage violation 3:45 p.m. Thursday in Adair County.
According to an Adair County Sheriff report, the officer conducted a traffic stop on Ayres’ vehicle. After making contact with the driver, Ayres said he had a little bit of marijuana on the passenger seat and pointed it out.
Ayres was released on $100 bond.

Donald Glenwood Imhoff, 43, of Adair was charged with driving under suspension 9:35 a.m. Saturday in Adair County.
Glenwood was cited and released.

Joshua Anthony Walker, 21, of Adair was charged with public intoxication, interference with official acts, disorderly conduct and simple domestic abuse assault 6:35 p.m. Saturday in Adair County.
According to an Adair County Sheriff report, Walker knowingly and admittedly committed public intoxication by consuming intoxicants. He yielded a result of .177 on a preliminary breath test. He also committed simple domestic assault by arguing with his fiancée. During the argument, Walker broke out a glass door window. Walker committed interference with official acts by failing to comply with officer commands, including running. Walker also committed disorderly conduct by using loud language around a private residence. He was asked to quiet down but refused to comply.
Walker was released on $100 bond.

Blake Joseph Gunter, 26, 203 S. Lincoln St., was charged with public intoxication 8:50 p.m. Saturday in Adair County.
Gunter was released on $300 bond.

Shawn Glen Wolverton, 36, of Menlo was charged with possession of a controlled substance and two counts of unlawful possession of prescription drugs 5:35 p.m. Sunday in Adair County.
According to an Adair County Sheriff report, Wolverton was a passenger in a vehicle and attempted to flee the vehicle after a lawful traffic stop. Wolverton had in his possession a pill bottle with two types of prescription pills and methamphetamine inside. He has previously been convicted of a drug-related offense twice before.
Wolverton was being held on $5,000 bond.

Kevin Eugene Stark, 45, of Adair was charged with possession of controlled substance and drug paraphernalia 1:20 a.m. Monday in Adair County.
According to an Adair County Sheriff report, a search warrant was conducted on Stark’s residence. Stark is the sole resident. From within the house, methamphetamine was located wthin glass pipes and plastic baggies.
Stark was being held on $1,000 bond.
