Anderson named district outstanding young member

ANKENY — At the recently completed Iowa Association of Agricultural Educators Conference, held June 22-25, Blake Anderson, agriculture instructor and FFA advisor at Nodaway Valley High School, was selected as the Southwest District Outstanding Young Member. This is a prestigious award as Anderson’s nomination and selection was determined by his agricultural education teaching peers within the Southwest District.

It has been well noted by the agricultural educators within the Southwest District and the state that Anderson is one of the hardest working young agricultural instructors in the state. He has seen a growth of students enrolled in ag education courses and an increase in FFA participation throughout his short career.

Based upon student success, it brings Anderson satisfaction to see the young people under his supervision succeed. For his outstanding efforts throughout this past year, as well as in his teaching career, Anderson was presented a plaque by fellow Southwest District agricultural education instructor Gary Clark.
