Ringgold County Sheriff

Daniel Edwards, 32, of Osceola, was charged on a Department of Corrections warrant for parole violation, original charges of second-degree theft, third-degree burglary and second-degree criminal mischief 3 a.m. June 15 in Ringgold County.

According to a Ringgold County Sheriff report, on June 14, sheriff’s deputies of Ringgold County Sheriff’s Office were made aware of a wanted individual in the Tingley area. After a search that lasted several hours, deputies located Edwards. Edwards was charged and transported to Clarke County.

Edwards was being held on no bond.

David Hosfield, 32, of Mount Ayr, was charged charged with felony, first-degree harassment, false imprisonment and interference with official acts 10 p.m. Wednesday in Ringgold County.

According to a Ringgold County Sheriff report, on Wednesday deputies of the Ringgold County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the 300 block of West Monroe St. in Mount Ayr for a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, deputies located Hosfield. Hosfield was placed under arrest and transported to the Ringgold County Hospital for wounds he sustained prior to being arrested. After being released from the hospital, Hosfield was booked into the Ringgold County Jail.

Hosfield was being held on $5,000 bond.
