MELCHER — Jordan Thompson pitched a no-hitter with 13 strikeouts as Orient-Macksburg defeated Melcher-Dallas Wednesday.

HUMESTON — On Monday, Dylan Nichols pitched seven innings with 12 strikeouts and seven walks in a 3-2 Orient-Macksburg victory over Mormon Trail.
Sophomore Jackson Mikkelsen hit a home run with three RBI for the Bulldogs. Nichols went 2-of-3 with a run scored. Jordan Thompson had a hit and scored a run.
“The Bulldogs hit well, just right at people,” said O-M coach Tyler Peterson. “I’m proud of the way Nichols responded on the mound.”
The Bulldogs play at Winterset today.
