Kirby Konkler, 52, 209 E. Mills St. Apt. 4, was charged on a Union County warrant for violation of a protective order 5:13 p.m. Thursday at his residence.
According to a Creston Police report, at 12:31 p.m. Monday, Konkler attempted to contact Diane Joyce Woodhull by text. Konkler sent several text messages to Woodhull’s brother-in-law Delbert’s phone. Woodhull used this phone at one time, but does not anymore. Konkler seemed to be unaware of this because the messages sent were intended for Woodhull. The messages were sent after the protective order was issued, showing the intent to violate the order.
Konkler was being held awaiting an appearance before the magistrate.
