MACKSBURG — It is time for the 40th National Skillet Throw Championship competition. Round up a five-member team to practice your skill of hitting the target “dummy’s” head.
The competition will start at noon June 20 with sign-in time at 11 a.m. The 2014 champion team “Filthy Five” of lndianola will be present to defend their title.
Modified rules will be announced at sign-in time.
The festival day will start at 10 a.m. with a parade, in which everyone is invited to participate.
Also, there will be a flea market all day, pedal pull, pie auction, and “Games Unlimited” for the children, which includes a duck pond, spin art, sand art and more.
Bring the family and lawn chairs, enjoy the entertainment and root for your favorite team.
