James Kermit Cook, 52, of Prescott, was charged on a Union County Warrant for first-degree harassment 1:06 p.m. Tuesday at Union County Law Enforcement Center.

According to a Creston Police report, Cook made no fewer than four phone calls to a phone number associated with a Department of Human Services employee. Cook identified himself by name and left messages. Caller ID recorded the number used. Employees recognized and reported the voice to be that of Cook. Cook stated two DHS employees’ names, promised to return for justice and made a death threat during the series of calls. The messages were saved on the DHS voicemail system and recorded by this officer.

Cook was being held on $4,000 bond.

Heather Marie Davis, 32, Lenox, was charged on a Union County warrant for failure to appear in child support matters 11:07 p.m. Monday in Ringgold County.

Davis was being held on $2,000 bond.

Tyler Wayne Kimball, 21, 504 N. Elm St., was charged with driving while suspended 10:48 p.m. Monday at the Union County Law Enforcement Center.

According to a Creston Police report, Kimball was stopped for traffic offenses and eluding a peace officer. During the stop, it was determined he was operating a motor vehicle while his driver’s license was suspended. A check of his driver’s license status confirmed he was suspended.

Kimball was released on $300 bond.

Christina Hunter, 29, 403 S. Livingston, was charged with assault 9:40 a.m. Monday at Union County Law Enforcement Center.

According to a Creston Police report, on Friday, Hunter struck a female victim in the face, causing swelling under the victim’s left eye. Hunter admitted to striking the victim with her fist during a subsequent interview. The incident occurred at 212 N. Cherry St.

Hunter was released on a promise to appear.
