Bonnie Routh is still a committee member but has chosen to slow down her activities.
Other new committee members are: Pastor Delores Dench and David Parker for the Platte Center Presbyterian Church.
Linda Huffman for the Salem Lutheran Church joined us May 5.
Business meeting was devoted to reports from the food pantries we are now serving, Marcy from the Creston Matura Office, Tammy who manages Aspire in Afton and Sheila from the Lorimor Food Pantry.
Steve Crittenden, treasurer for the Creston Christmas Basket, told us that they will again this year, allot a certain amount of money to pay for the meat processing cost at the Corning Locker. We voted to add the food pantry at the UCC Church in Creston meat for their clients.
Two animals have been donated so far this year, and yes, those farmers were there at 7 a.m., so the meat inspector could approve these animals to be safe for the Food for Life Mission Program.
The first three months this year 230 families plus have been served meat through our program.
