First National Bank in Creston receives Iowa Bankers Association Best of Iowa Marketing Award

JOHNSTON — First National Bank in Creston recently received a Best of Iowa Award from the Iowa Bankers Association for excellence in bank marketing.

The bank earned a Silver (second-place) Award for its community relations campaign, “Hope Glows 5K,” which hosted a 5K run as a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.

The award was presented to Sarah Young at a reception during the Iowa Bankers Association’s Marketing Conference held May 1 at the West Des Moines Marriott.

Approximately 98 percent of the banks in Iowa are members of the IBA and are eligible to participate in the Best of Iowa Awards competition. A panel of judges from the Indiana Bankers Association selected the award winners based on their objectives, strategy, execution and results.
