Orient-Macksburg School District audit released

ORIENT — Nolte, Cornman and Johnson P.C. released an audit report on the Orient-Macksburg Community School District in Orient.

The district’s revenues totaled $2,967,520 for the year ended June 30, 2014, a decrease of 8.02 percent from the prior year. Revenues included $1,240,821 in property tax, $131,494 in income surtax, $168,057 in statewide sales, services and use tax, $361,355 in charges for service, $286,989 in operating grants, contributions and restricted interest, $757,946 in unrestricted state grants, $1,109 in unrestricted interest and $19,749 in other general revenues.

Expenses for District operations for the year ended June 30, 2014, totaled $3,181,407, a 5.67 percent decrease from the prior year. Expenses included $1,149,974 in regular instruction, $434,826 in other instruction and $431,045 in special instruction.
