Audit released for Creston Community School District

Nolte, Cornman & Johnson P.C. released an audit report on the Creston Community School
District in Creston.

The district’s revenues totaled $20,926,669 for the year ended June 30, 2014, a 12.87 percent increase from the prior year.

Revenues included unrestricted state grants of $8,126,572, local tax of $5,195,520, statewide sales, services and use tax of $1,224,085, charges for service of $1,720,570, operating grants, contributions and restricted interest of $2,428,576, capital grants, contributions and restricted interest of $2,104,356, unrestricted interest of $4,110 and other general revenues of $122,880.

Expenses for district operations for the year ended June 30, 2014, totaled $18,460,473, a 0.70 percent increase from the prior year. Expenses included $6,465,776 for regular instruction, $2,456,273 for special instruction and $2,307,992 for other instruction.
