Faith Sound, an interdenominational contemporary musical group from Harlan, will perform during the 10:30 a.m. worship service Sunday at First Presbyterian Church, 702 W. Prairie St., Creston. Musical selections will include songs by Michael W. Smith, Sandi Patti and more. The public is welcome to attend.
Now in its 40th year, members of Faith Sound are students, grades seven through 12, who represent eight churches from the area. Each member is chosen through a tryout process. This year, they are directed by Roger VanDoselaar, former Corning instrumental music instructor and current employee of Reiman Music.
Faith Sound is supported by free-will offerings taken at concerts and is a qualified 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Three-hundred and nineteen high school students have been members of the Faith Sound ministry.
The purpose of Faith Sound is simple ... God’s Word through the ministry of music.
