MOUNT AYR — Ringgold County Conservation Board and Ringgold Conservation Foundation are hosting a Prairie Chicken Warrior Run 4 p.m. May 24 at Fogle Lake in Diagonal. Meet at the archery trail shelter at the entrance to Fogle Lake.
Entry fee is $20 for adults, $15 for students 18 and younger and $10 for the children’s one mile for ages 10 and younger.
Ringgold Outdoor Alliance will be providing music, and Diagonal Archery will have food and drinks available for purchase.
There will be a one mile run with a special prairie chicken egg hunt along the route for children 10 years old and younger.
The Warrior Run will have five different obstacles for participants to complete along a two mile route. The Warrior Run will have a first place prize for the top male, top female and top child (ages 11-18 years).
Participants must preregister with Ringgold County Conservation Board at 641-464-2787 or email RinggoldCCB@ringgoldcounty.us by 4 p.m. May 8 to receive a T-shirt. A select few shirts will be available for same-day registration with no guarantee on size availability.
All proceeds will go toward the Ringgold County Nature Center project for environmental education.
