NV records

EARLHAM — Nodaway Valley set a pair of meet and stadium records here Tuesday at the Earlham Co-ed.

Sophomore Shane Breheny won the 3,200 meters with a new meet and stadium record time of 10:26.37. Teammate Brycen Wallace took third at 10:40.45. The previous meet record was held by junior teammate Heath Downing, who ran 10:56.53 last year.

Sophomore Jared Corder broke the other meet and stadium record for the Wolverines, running 4:52.91 in the 1,600 meters. The previous stadium record was 4:53.87. Teammate Brayten Funke took third in 5:02.51.

Mustang Relays

SHENANDOAH — Southwest Valley scored in 10 different events to finish sixth out of 14 teams here Monday at the Mustang Relays.

“We had some younger guys run very impressive splits and do well,” Southwest Valley head coach Allen Naugle said. “It was a great night for a track meet and our guys ran well throughout the evening.”

Lenox finished 11th overall with 13 team points.

“This type of meet is good for improving times, and we did a lot of that this meet,” Lenox head coach Matt Malausky said.
