What’s new at Orient Library

Interested in audiobooks and eBooks? With WILBOR, you can borrow and enjoy free eBooks and audiobooks from the library’s digital collection. This underutilized service is a consortium of libraries providing downloadable audio and eBooks to each member community. There are books for children, teens and adults in fiction, nonfiction, bestsellers and classics.

All this is available from your home 24 hours a day with just your library card and an internet connection.

If you don’t know your library card number just call the Orient Public Library at 641-337-5061 x124 to get started.

You can listen to WILBOR audiobooks on your home computer and/or transfer it to a compatible portable device. Via an app, you can transfer to a mobile device, such as a smartphone or an iPad. You can burn many titles to CD for use in your car.

You can read eBooks on your home computer and/or transfer to an eReader device. There is also an app for mobile devices. The entire download process was recently updated to make it easier to use.

The WILBOR website is designed to allow the user to browse and search for books, check out books, put a book on a wait list if the book is currently checked out, add a book to your wish list, and download the software or app to manage and download your books.

Remember all you need to get started is an internet connection and a free library card.
