An endowment is being established with the Southwestern Community College Education Foundation in Bill Krejci’s name.
Funds from the Bill Krejci Endowment will benefit the SWCC baseball program, awarding an annual scholarship to a Spartan baseball player.
Krejci, who recently became a member of the SWCC Athletic Hall of Fame, was a longtime instructor, coach, athletic director and athletic fundraiser for the college.
Tickets are on sale for the first Spartan Baseball Dinner for the Bill Krejci Endowment to be held Friday, March 13, at Creston Elks Lodge. Social hour begins at 6 p.m with dinner at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 each.
The event will be catered by Up in Smoke BBQ featuring smoked chicken, pulled pork, cheesy potatoes, baked beans and dinner roll.
A program will follow the dinner, including a welcome by SWCC head baseball coach Pedro Hernandez, a silent auction and raffle, and a “meet and greet” session with the SWCC baseball team.

Funds raised during this event will be added to the Bill Krejci Endowment, established with the SWCC Education Foundation to assist SWCC baseball for years to come.
