I see a pattern

From Larry L. Moreland

Creston

I see a pattern in this town that is not the same in other towns in this area.

Allowing metal two-story buildings in residential areas.

Allowing other second stories as garages, some with apartments above.

Allowing sheds of any size to be placed along the side of a busy street, when the building inspector has said it is not allowed.

Having an abundance of derelict houses and not hold the owners liable.

Holding the city property owners responsible to pay to have them torn down. A loss of another taxpayer.

I believe a town of this size with so few paying property owners cannot continue to thrive. Companies and potential homeowners will have second thoughts and look elsewhere.

I know it is hard to run a town, but better planning and sticking to the rules you have made will win out in the end.
