Robert Jason Rix, 39, of Texas, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, 1:58 p.m. Wednesday at the Supertel Inn, 800 Laurel St.
According to a Creston Police report, Rix possessed marijuana in his hotel room. Rix had a bag in a black leather bag on the sink, a small plastic bag in a cigarette carton and a pipe that looked like a cigarette that had marijuana in it.
He was released from Union County Jail on $300 bond.

Virginia Wilson, 509 N. Pine St., reported someone took a debit card and cash from her purse, which was in her vehicle parked behind her residence, sometime between 7 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday.
