Scott Moore, 67, of Creston died Jan. 19, 2015, at his home in Creston.

Celebration of life visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, with family present 5 to 8 p.m. and a sharing time at 7 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, junction of highways 34 and 25. The Rev. Jim Woodworth will officiate. After the service, per Scott's wishes, he will be cremated, and private burial will be at a later date. Memorials are to be established. Harold Scott Moore, son of Fama Margaret (Grady) and Harold Benton Moore, was born Sept. 6, 1947, in Omaha, Neb.

Scott graduated from Orient-Macksburg High School in 1966.

On Nov. 27, 1973, Scott married Dixie Lee (Fils) in Creston.

Scott lived and farmed in Adair and Union counties all of his life.

Scott was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Creston and served on the Prairie Lawn Cemetery Board.

Scott is survived by his wife Dixie Moore of Creston; daughters, Melody Moore of Lewisville, Texas; and her children, Austin and Jamie Moore; Jeanine Allard of St. Robert, Mo.; and Peggy Maynes Long (husband Pete) of De Soto; and her son Calvin Maynes; stepchildren, Allison and Jacob Long; stepdaughter MacKenzie Maynes of Des Moines; twin brothers, Keith (wife Donna) Moore of Creston and Ken Moore of Lewisville, Texas; sisters, Holly (husband Dan) Ferber of Corning and Nindy (husband Jim) Coles of New Virginia; mother-in-law Adeline Fils of Creston; grandchildren listed above; great-granddaughters, Carsen, Lydon and Sawyer; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents, one son-in-law and one granddaughter.
