W.M. “Tom” Butrick Jr. Plattsmouth, Neb.

Willis Marvin Butrick Jr., 63, of Plattsmouth, Neb., formerly of Corning, died Jan. 18, 2015, at Nebraska Medicine Bellevue Medical Center in Bellevue, Neb.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, at Pearson Family Funeral Service, 701 Seventh St., Corning. The Rev. Andrew Bardole will officiate. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Corning. Visitation with family present will be 1 to 2 p.m. service time Wednesday at the funeral home. Willis “Tom” Butrick Jr., son of Goldie Ann (Farris) and Willis Marvin Butrick, was born Nov. 26, 1951, in Red Oak.

Tom graduated from Corning High School in 1970. He also graduated from Stewarts School of Cosmetology.

Tom married Loretta K. Boham. They later divorced.

Tom was employed at Huntington Park Care Center in Papillion and a care center in Omaha as a cook, cosmetologist, activities director and CNA. Prior to his work at the care centers, he was employed at the Iowa School for the Deaf in Glenwood and worked for Wonder Bread.

Tom was baptized at Corning United Methodist Church.

Tom is survived by a son Scott Bradley Butrick of Lincoln, Neb.; sister Judy (Terry) Shepherd of LaVista, Neb.; granddaughter Alissa Butrick of Florida; niece Christy (Steve) Lee of Lavista, Neb.; nephews, Jason Hoyt of Omaha, Neb., and Jerad (Marcie) Hoyt of Conrad; great-nieces and -nephews, Kalyn Shepherd, Nick Hoyt, Tyler Lee, Samantha Hoyt, Vance Hoyt and Hailei Hoyt; best friend Mark Nikolich and a host of other relatives and friends.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents and many aunts and uncles.
