Miller, Klejch wed in August ceremony

Casie Christine Miller and Jason Alan Klejch, both of Creston, were married Aug. 15 at Glen Oaks Country Club in West Des Moines.

The bride is the daughter of Julia and Gary Thompson and Doug and Rhonda Miller, all of Creston. The groom is the son of Curtis and Karen Klejch of Creston.

Judge Joel Novak of West Des Moines officiated the 5:30 p.m. ceremony.

Matron of honor was Shawna Peterson, sister of the bride, of Nashville, Tenn. Bridesmaids were Gentry Miller, sister of the bride, Mae Greene, Josie Krings, all of Creston, Kylee Bradley, cousin of the bride, of Iowa City, and Jennifer Johnson, cousin of the bride, of Palm Harbor, Fla.

The bride’s personal attendant was Katrina Dredge of Ellston.

Shawna Peterson was hired and on hand at the wedding to do makeup for the entire bridal party, the bride, and mother and grandmother of the bride.

Flower girl was Jalyn Klejch.

The bride wore a Casablanca-designed gown. The gown was ivory and silver, with an A-line and beaded-band accent waist. Beaded lace lay over silky satin, and was finished with eyelash fringe. The gown was beaded and had lace accents throughout the chapel-length train. The veil was also ivory and silver, and was trimmed in lace and beading to match the dress.

The bride carried a large fresh bouquet of white roses and hydrangeas with greenery.

The bridesmaids wore floor-length gowns in Tiffany blue with silver and crystal broaches on the waistline. The side of the dresses had three layers that gave a slight angled slit in the dress.

Best man was Daniel Scarberry of Creston. Groomsmen were Ryan Steinkamp and Travis Miller, brother of the bride, both of Creston, Ben Waigand of Thayer, Adam Dredge of Ellston and Brett Peterson, brother-in-law of the bride, of Nashville.

Ushers were Chris Johnson, Nick Johnson of Auburn Ala., Matt Johnson, of Palm Harbor, all cousins of the bride, Tyson Troutwine, brother-in-law of the groom, of Grant City, Mo., and Matt Williamson of Grimes.

Ring bearers were Tanner Klejch and Garrett Troutwine.

The groom wore a black tuxedo with ivory vest and tie. The groomsmen wore black tuxedos with Tiffany blue vests and ties. The fathers wore black tuxedos with black vests and ties.

Vocalist and pianist were Cody and Londa Crigger of West Des Moines. Guest book hostesses and those in charge of gifts were Shannel Troutwine of Grant City and Chantel Klejch of Creston, sisters of the groom.

Honored guests were Lila Wickham, grandmother of the bride, and Betty Miller, grandmother of the groom, both of Creston.

A reception was held immediately after the ceremony at Glen Oaks Country Club. Guests were served drinks and hors d’oeuvres during cocktail hour. Guests were then seated to prepare for a plated dinner, and then served cake and coffee once dinner was finished.

A dance was held after dinner outside on the veranda. A photo booth was available for guests to take pictures to be shared with the bride and groom. A professional videographer was hired to capture the ceremony and dance.

Centerpieces at the wedding and reception were made of white roses and hydrangeas. All flowers were from Colors Floral and Home Decorating in Greenfield.

The bride graduated from Creston High School in 2008, Southwestern Community College in 2010 and Buena Vista University with a degree in elementary education in 2014. She is currently employed by Fridley Theatres and as a substitute teacher for Creston and East Union community school districts.

The groom is a 1997 graduate of Creston High School. He is currently employed as a conductor with Burlington Northern-Santa Fe Railroad.

The couple honeymooned in Cancun, Mexico, for eight days, and currently reside in Creston.
