Adair County 4-H Youth Council members installed

GREENFIELD — A group of 27 teens from four school districts pledged to serve as positive role models and give their time and talents to help others as part of the Adair County 4-H Youth Council installation.

The executive team for the youth council includes: President Hailey Gross of Stuart; Vice President Heath Downing of Creston; Secretary/Treasurer Caroline Doud of Stuart; and Historian/Photographer Shelby Soper of Adair.

Other members of the 2014-15 council include: Jacob and Jodi Baudler of Fontanelle; Hank Bohling, Noah Cooper, Riley Lonsdale, Sam and Sadie Marnin, Beau Weinheimer, Dakota Hughes, Skyler Rawlings and Koy Brandt, all of Greenfield; Hannah Jorgensen of Adair; Alyssa Christensen, Vince Doud, Tim Beane, Matt Clark, Haylee Hunt, Morgan Smith, Alexis Shelley and Jennifer Dudley, all of Stuart; and Ashlyn Kralik, Brooklyn Sammons and Joey Huntington, all of Orient. Deena Wells of Greenfield serves as the adviser for the group.

McKenna Davenport, 2013-14 Youth Council co-president, led the installation ceremony held as part of the Adair County 4-H Awards Day.

Youth council members will be creating projects and/or events in their focus areas of literacy, poverty, bullying, healthy living and promoting 4-H. Members are also assisting with the monthly Clover Kids programs for youth in K-3rd grades by helping with craft projects, reading stories and assisting with fun activities.
