Brad Sheren Creston

Brad Sheren, 50, of Creston died Oct. 18, 2014, at his home.

Sharing time by the Rev. Jim McCutchan will be approximately 7 p.m. today, Oct. 21, at Powers Funeral Home, junction of highways 34 and 25. Open memorial visitation will be 2 to 7 p.m. today with family present 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the family. Bradford Arthur Sheren, son of Delores Jane (Jones) and Harry Clyde Sheren Jr., was born April 11, 1964, in Creston.

Brad graduated from Creston High School in 1982. Brad continued his education and graduated from Simpson College.

Brad lived in the Creston, Des Moines and Chicago areas working at several different jobs.

On Sept. 27, 2003, Brad married Jodie Lynn Keeler in Creston.

Brad owned and operated Creston Home Style Laundry for many years and Creston Realty until health prevented him from being able to work.

Brad is survived by his wife Jodie Sheren; step-daughter Judy (husband Michael) Piearson of Creston; step-grandchildren, Caleb and Charity Piearson; sisters-in-law, Debbie Sheren of Alabama., Gloria Ross of Ankeny and Jenny Rouh (significant other Dave Goodson) of Creston; brothers-in-law, Wesley (wife Coleen) Keeler, Wayne (wife Cheryl) Keeler and Doug (wife Diana) Miller, all of Creston; many nieces and nephews, including Matthew (wife Joyce) Sheren of Marietta, Ga., and Lindsay Sheren of Maria Del Ray, Calif.; and many great nieces and nephews including, Mia and Zoe Sheren.

Brad was preceded in death by his parents, brother Rod Sheren, father-in-law Don Keeler and great-nephew Brendan Keeler.
