Born in the state of Iowa to Arlie and Verna Evans on April 5, 1937 he passed away in Vacaville, CA on October 19, 2014 at the age of 77.
Ed grew up in Iowa and graduated from Creston High School, Creston, Iowa. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1956 spending 20 years in service for his country retiring in 1976. He worked as a home builder and remodeler until fully retiring. He moved to Tulare, California where he married Leah Norblock in 2004 and remained there until her death in 2008. He moved to Exeter, CA and lived with his sister Jean Hogue for four years until health reasons moved him to Vacaville, California in June of this year to be with his son Russ.
Survivors include his son Russ (Cecelia) Evans, daughter Shelly (Tim) Capps, sisters Jean Hogue and Judy (Bud) Gibson. Six grandchildren and 2 great grand sons and numerous nieces and nephews, Sandy Evans the mother of his children.
Predeceased by sister Virginia Fogle, brothers Charles and Johnny Evans, and their spouses, and F.M. (Short) Hogue.
