CORNING — The first Corning Opera House Cultural Center madrigal dinner will be Dec. 6 and 7.
Performances will include a full sit-down dinner, Renaissance madrigal music by costumed singers and acting entertainment from performers of the time.
Auditions will be 7 to 9 p.m. Oct. 12-14 at Corning Opera House, 800 Davis Ave., Corning. Enter through the front door and proceed up the stairs.
Interested people should attend, fill out an information sheet to express areas of expertise and then expect to sing and read from the script. Available parts include, but are not limited to, the king, queen and royal court, jester, mertonsire, town crier, singers and or soloists, as well as assorted shire folk and buffoons.
