Georgia Etta “Grandma GG” Kinne, 93, of Tingley died Aug. 22, 2014, at Mount Ayr Health Care Center.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug., 28 at Watson-Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 West Monroe St., Mount Ayr. The Rev. Al Rusk will officiate. Burial will be in Tingley Cemetery. Open visitation will be held noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday with family present 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Tingley Community Building. Georgia Kinne, daughter of Geneva Elnora (Neely) and Roy Francis Hainey, was born March 26, 1921, in Barnard, Mo.

The Hainey family ran a family dairy business with Georgia Etta serving the role of delivery girl. She graduated from Barnard High School and attended some college in Maryville.

On March 30, 1940, Georgia Etta married Donald Ross Kinne in Troy, Kan.

In 1946, the Kinne family moved to Shannon City.

In February 1947, they moved to Tingley, which became her hometown.

Georgia Etta was active at Tingley Christian Church, helping send boxes of homemade cookies to veterans in Knoxville and organizing church dinners for fundraising and funerals. Georgia Etta helped found the Tingley Friendship Mealsite that continues to serve seniors in the area today.

In 2013, Georgia Etta moved to the Mount Ayr Health Care Center where she enjoyed the company of her roommate, Willa Poore.

Georgia is survived by her daughters, Linda (Gary) Myers and Jane (Tom) Skillicorn; grandchildren, Kevin (Aleta) Myers, Laura (Shannon) Burke, Becky (Jeff) Fletchall and Lisa (Roy) Beard; great-grandchildren, Sawyer, Trey and Lucas Myers, Scott, Elizabeth and Emily Burke, Morgan, Ross, Amanda and Lauren Beard and Hannah, Hope, Haylee and Jaxx Fletchall.

Georgia was preceded in death by her parents; husband Donald Sr. in 1993; and son Donald Jr.
