Missionary couple to speak at Lorimor First Church of God

LORIMOR — 1994 East Union graduate Alison (Turner) Emery and her husband Giles Emery will be speaking about their upcoming missionary service in Kenya 7 p.m. Saturday at Lorimor First Church of God. All are welcome to attend.

Starting this fall, the Emerys will serve as missionaries for three years in Nairobi, Kenya, through CMF International, an Indianapolis-based missions agency. The Emerys will use their skills in communications and technology to assist Missions of Hope International (MoHI), a local Kenyan organization, in ministering to children and families living in urban slums. MoHI provides a Christian education to more than
10,000 children and business development programs for adults to empower and engage individuals living in extreme poverty in Mathare Valley slum in Nairobi.

Come and bring a friend or two, Saturday to hear about their missionary journey, Kenya, and the families they will be serving.
