McFee Reunion
Descendants of Alexander McFee gathered in Creston the weekend of Aug. 2-3. Donna McFee Neely of Creston is his only living grandchild.
The reunion started Saturday evening with 19 having dinner at the A&G Restaurant.
On Sunday, 27 met at the Eagles for a potluck dinner. The afternoon was spent visiting and discussing the article in this month’s “Our Iowa” magazine of the Creston Bentley barn now owned by Kelly McFee.
Guests from Iowa were from Urbandale, Creston, Waukee, Red Oak, Fontanelle, Kent, Diagonal, Waukee and Ames. Out-of-state guests were from Waconia and Victoria, Minn.
The family had six deaths and four births since last year’s reunion.
Next year’s reunion will be at the same locations the first weekend in August 2015.
