Steven Andrew Jehn, 42, 503 W. Mills St., was charged with second-offense public intoxication 1:43 a.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of North Elm Street.
According to a Creston Police report, officers were on patrol in the 100 block of North Elm when they saw other officers speaking to an individual on the side of the road. The male subject was sitting on the curb and officers observed the individual had slurred speech while speaking to the original officers. The officers in the vehicle pulled up in the parking lot near the intersection of West Montgomery and North Elm streets to speak to the male subject further. In speaking with the subject, he said he had been drinking, but said he only had one beer. The male had slurred speech and had an odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his person. Officers identified the male as Jehn. Jehn was asked to do field sobriety tests and did consent at first. At the start of the test Jehn refused to follow direction and was uneasy on his feet. Officers asked him to consent to preliminary breath testing, and he did consent to give a breath sample, with a result of .191.
Jehn was being held on $1,000 bond.

David Paul Webb, 43, 410 S. Walnut St., was charged on a Union County warrant for child support matters 3:19 p.m. Wednesday at his residence.
Webb was released on $500 bond.

Jaime Torres, 704 Hickory St., reported the windshied of his vehicle was broken between 10:42 and 11:09 a.m. Wednesday while it was parked at his residence.
Damage estimate is $300.

Corry Johnston, 208 S. Birch St., reported unidentified belongings were taken from his residence between Sunday and Wednesday.
