Russell Simmons, 53, of Stuart was charged with fifth-degree theft and on a Clarke County warrant for failure to appear 6 p.m. Tuesday in Lenox.

According to a Lenox Police report, officers were advised employees at Casey’s General Store reviewed video 2 p.m. and observed a man shoplifting from the store a short time earlier. The man was later identified as Simmons. Simmons was located 6 p.m. at a residence on South Main Street. It was also determined Simmons had a Clarke County warrant for failure to appear. Simmons was transported to Taylor County Jail.

Simmons served his sentence for Taylor County and was transported to Clarke County Sheriff’s office.

Kyle Grindstaff, 49, of Clearfield was charged on a Clarke County warrant for second-offense operating while intoxicated 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

According to a Lenox Police report, officers stopped a vehicle for failure to have license plates. The driver was identified as Grindstaff. A check showed he was wanted on a Clarke County warrant.

Grindstaff was transported to Taylor County Jail for booking and was turned over to Clarke County Sheriff.
